If you are reading this then we are to assume you have spent at least a month’s wages on a very nice engagement ring or you are preparing yourself for what is to come. The list below has been written by women with a few suggestions for what you can do to help on the lead up to their your very special day. If you would like to be in their good books then please follow the steps below.
- Make a list of all the family and friends you would like to invite to the wedding and evening do.
- Together, work out how much you can afford to spend.
- Open a savings account.
- Ask for quotes off suppliers.
- Together, book and visit your Venue or Church.
- Choose your Best Man and Groomsmen.
- Ask if there is anything you can do to help.
- Research what type of suit you would like (after checking if the bride would like you to match a certain colour).
- You will be shown several samples of stationery and asked to pick your favourite. Just pick one. She probably won’t go with it anyway.
- Go Wedding ring shopping.
- Show an interest in the gift list. You might get a new TV!
- Book the honeymoon together. Do something you will both enjoy.
- Discuss flowers. What buttonhole will you have?
- Book your transport. What car would you like to drive or take you to your wedding? If it is a Lamborghini, check she will turn up when she sees it outside.
- Ask if there is anything you can do to help.
- If you are not staying at the wedding venue, surprise her by booking the wedding night accommodation.
- Write your speech. Safeguard the Best Man’s speech.
- Buy a special gift for your future wife to open on your Wedding day.
- Research gifts you would like to give to your Best Man and Groom’s Men.
- Inform the Best Man to only mention the nice parts of the stag night.
- Help with the reception seating plan.
- Together, book the wedding rehearsal. Then turn up!
- Delegate someone to pay the suppliers on the day so you don’t have to worry about it.
- Finally, ask if there is anything you can do to help.
